This demand naturally led to the development of the Deep Blue 115, an evolution that seamlessly integrates Acala’s pioneering spirit into a more compact yet equally capable platform. For the exterior design of the Deep Blue 115, Cantiere delle Marche once again collaborated with the esteemed designer Horacio Bozzo, ensuring the new series retained the compelling aesthetic and functional prowess that captivated the market. The naval architecture and engineering were expertly handled by Axis Group Yacht Design, guaranteeing structural integrity and optimal performance. Jamie Swaine from IYC’s London office was instrumental in facilitating the sale of Octopus to her American owner in 2024, with construction commencing in the same year. Horacio Bozzo eloquently described the design philosophy behind the new series: “We conceived the Deep Blue 115 as a truly pocket gentleman’s superyacht with a strong explorer DNA, designing her lines to stand the test of time with innate elegance. The Deep Blue 115 is immediately recognizable by its distinctive flared “beak look,” a signature design element achieved through subtle gaps between the upper section and the main hull, extending from the bow to the overhang of the upper deck’s stern. Along the main deck, expansive windows serve as a defining feature, with mullions that appear to gracefully float, adding to the yacht’s sophisticated aesthetic. These design choices not only enhance the visual appeal but also invite abundant natural light into the meticulously crafted interiors. On the main deck, a generously proportioned galley seamlessly flows into a main saloon, featuring openable sliding doors on both sides and an innovative foldable terrace to starboard, adjacent to the refined dining area. Accommodation on board is thoughtfully arranged to host ten guests, with provision for two additional, across five sumptuously appointed cabins. This includes a magnificent owner’s apartment situated forward on the main deck, offering supreme privacy and comfort. Four additional guest cabins are gracefully positioned on the lower deck, alongside bespoke quarters for a crew of seven in four dedicated cabins, ensuring exceptional service and operational efficiency.
